Fight world hunger at FreeRice.com...and possibly learn a new word or two in the process! At Free Rice, you are given a word that is followed by four possible definitions. Each word that you match correctly, equals 20 grains of rice that Free Rice will donate, through the United Nations! How easy it is to help those in need! Of course, if you have the money to donate that's wonderful, BUT if you are like me and have none to spare, you can play this game and help to feed those in poverty. The site also allows you to determine your vocab level. You can make it easy, so that you know you'll get them all correct, or you can challenge yourself. Either way, the site offers an excellent way to help others! Visit whenever you have some free time: www.freerice.com.

Another great charity site is AIDtoCHILDREN.com. It donates money to children in need through World Vision.
AIDtoCHILDREN.com is a dual-purpose site for building an English vocabulary and raising money for under privileged children in the most
impoverished places around the world.
Check it out at http://www.aidtochildren.com
Yo! My name is Chris and I'm reaching out to world-conscious blogs. I noticed that you blogged about free rice, and I'm working with a small startup called Avanoo that is developing a similar concept. By going to our site (avanoo.com) and putting one of many badges on your blog, every time someone clicks that badge, a dollar is donated by a corporate sponsor to the non-profit!
We're still in beta, but we wanted to spread the word as much as possible. If you can help us show others how, together, bloggers and web users can raise funds and awareness for good causes by using our collective power, I'd really appreciate it. Maybe you'll even blog about us!
Thanks for your time,
Chris
